Prosthetic Mitral Valve Endocarditis

Infective endocarditis is still serious disease. Without early diagnosis and treatment it has very poor prognosis. Prosthetic valves represent one of the most important risk factor for development of infective endocarditis. The author is presenting a case report of the 56-years old woman with prosthetic endocarditis after skin ulceration treatment without right antibiotic prophylaxis.
