U dětských pacientů je ikatibant rovněž dostupný cestou individuální úhrady podle § 16 uvedeného zákona. V době přípravy tohoto článku jsou garadacimab a donidalorsen dostupné na základě individuální úhrady podle § 16 zákona č. 48/1997 Sb., o veřejném zdravotním pojištění. Centralizace péče do omezeného počtu center umožňuje zachování vysoké odbornosti a zkušeností s diagnostikou a léčbou tohoto vzácného onemocnění a současně zajišťuje pacientům přístup k moderní terapii. Závěr Léčba HAE-C1-INH prošla v posledních letech zásadním vývojem. Moderní cílená léčba umožňuje u většiny pacientů významně snížit frekvenci atak a v řadě případů dosáhnout jejich úplné eliminace. Současný trend směřuje k jednodušším formám podání, individualizované terapii a v budoucnu potenciálně i ke kurativním přístupům založeným na genové terapii. Cílem léčby již není pouze zvládání jednotlivých atak, ale dosažení plné kontroly onemocnění a normalizace kvality života pacientů.
